On Monday, May 27th , at 8:30 AM a Proclamation and flag-raising ceremony will herald in 2019’s AccessAbility Week at the Grand Parade in Halifax. This is a free event open to the public and everyone is welcome.
Immediately following the Proclamation Ceremony at 9:00 AM, a reception with the presentation of the Mel Hebb Hourglass Action Awards will be hosted in Halifax Hall at Halifax City Hall. These awards recognize Nova Scotians throughout the province who have made a meaningful contribution to the lives of persons with disabilities. Due to limited space, RSVPs are required and can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org ASL interpreters, CART and sighted guides will be available.
