Through a vital partnership with Wonder’neath Art Society and its sponsor Medavie, clients of reachAbility will gather at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia to participate in Afternoon Shift, a free drop-in studio program which acknowledges the emotional and mental health challenges faced by persons aged 16 - 30, as they are invited to create an open space for making art and conversation.
The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia transforms its studio into a comfy gathering space for young adults, their families and/or support networks. Artmaking materials, snacks and artist facilitators will be provided to participants as they are supported through the creation of self-directed art projects in its physically accessible space with “all gender” washrooms..
Members of the public are invited to join us on Wednesday, May 29th, 1 - 4 pm, for Afternoon Shift, facilitated by reachAbility’s own Tara Grude, at The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, located at 1723 Hollis Street in downtown Halifax. For more information or to save a space, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
