Research reveals that first impressions are formed in about a tenth of a second - often from a glimpse of a stranger’s face alone. The ME Project is a photographic art installation based on the idea that every person is so much more than a first impression. The images show no faces; instead the creators pose with framed images of word clouds they created to represent their depth and diversity. The ME project challenges both artist and viewer to look beyond ‘face value’ to discover an individual’s many and diverse skills, qualities, and interests.
You’re invited to the show opening and interactive arts workshop from 1-3 pm, Sunday June 2nd, at the Zatzman Sportsplex in Dartmouth. Communities Culture & Heritage Minister Leo Glavine will attend and officially welcome all. ASL interpretation will be provided. The ME project remains on display at the Zatzman Sportsplex until June 30th.
